Would You Sign My Puzzle?
Carole Demmy shared her thoughts on the framed ‘Carolina Calling’ puzzle she brought in for Dempsey to sign. “I thought the hard part would be the sky but it was the flowers instead. I found one of the three hidden hummers and I worked for a month on and off to get this completed. It is the most recent addition to my private Dempsey Essick Collection.”

Happy Bird Day
Dempsey was recently guest speaker at Second United Church of Christ in Lexington where he spoke to a group of 100 on his favorite topic, BLUEBIRDING. Dempsey shared his birding story and showed the video of “Inside the Nest Box”. After a delicious lunch, door prizes were distributed and Little Lauren,who came with her grandma and grandpa, won a hummingbird garden stone. Dempsey was invited to speak by long time friend and Essick Art Collector Bobby Rogers. Rev Bill Shrout was on hand and made us feel so welcomed.

Pretty as a Picture

A Little R & R
Dempsey and I just returned from a cruise to Mexico and are pleased to say that we were on Carnival’s Paradise and not the Triumph. The highlight of the trip was the swim with the dolphins. We were guests of our daughter Beth, her husband, Donald and 4 year old Elim.

Mountain Memories
